Ultra Combos #1
By Thousand Pounds Fight Team
Presented by Chaos Mechanica
Co-created by Christopher C. Cowan, Vonzell Carter and Darren Bailey, Thousand Pounds are a collective of martial artists/choreographers who love Anime, Sci fi, and Video Games, and have worked on projects based on Street Fighter and Naruto, as well as a few original fight scenes. The clip below is the first of three, a live-action take on the way Street Fighter IV does its Ultra Combos. These guys are good and they’ve been getting better and better at blending great fight scenes with great effects.
Check them out on their youtube page, Thousand Pounds Fight Team.
SFIII: 3rd Strike – Daigo VS Justin
Uploaded by TheShend
Presented by Louis Santiago
If you’ve never seen the masters fight, you’ve never understood just how terrifyingly bad you are at Street Fighter. Here I present Daigo of Japan VS our very own Justin Wong. Disclaimer: the question of who wins does not make this video. If you don’t play Street Fighter III, just know this: a character flashes when their player “parries” (presses forward at the EXACT MOMENT AN ATTACK IS SUPPOSED TO HIT THEM, completely canceling out the damage of the opponent’s attack). Parrying is incredibly hard to learn. For mortals.
At 2:35 in, your heart will stop beating. Feel free to watch what happens afterward. Me? I always need a glass of water and minute to calm down.
Rampage a.k.a Turkish Rambo!
Uploaded by DRUNKH3RO
Presented by Dannyboyone
Do you know the Turkish word for “Quality Cinema Action”? Neither does this guy.
If you’ve never seen a Turkish version of any of your favorite movies, you should know that they’re out there and they’re all this insane. Let Turkish Rambo be your first example (and then lay siege to youtube to find Turkish Star Wars [or be normal and try to unseen what you've seen here {it'll never work}]).
Overdrift
By duncanbros
Presented by Louis Santiago
There’s a chance you’ve seen Gigabots, the Duncan Bros.’ longest running series and biggest project. But there’s also a chance that Gigabots is the only bit of their awesome insanity you’ve seen, which is unacceptable. And so, IA presents their original viral claim to fame, Overdrift, a short that takes the ridiculous action of racing movies into a whole other dimension (literally)! And I promise you that dimension is the very last thing you’ll ever expect.
