Closing Shop: Farewell, Infinite Ammo
It was one year ago that Infinite Ammo loaded up and went to war. With less than a handful of writers, limited resources, limited time, and a simple wordpress page, we were like a Black Ops team of literary nerds trying to find their way in the overcrowded, chaotic nation known as the Internet. But no matter what, we soldiered on, and set up a foundation for writers to express their love for all forms of media: from games to movies to music to literature. We couldn’t predict how things would turn out, but we had one mission in mind: to run an editorial and review website for all things “Geek” for at least a year, and provide quality insights, opinions, and humor to the world of geek media.
Now, one year later, we’ve written 152 articles on everything from the best Nerd Hangout to find in New York to the Best Games You’ve Never Played. We’ve done Reviews on just about every major Game, Movie, Comic or Novel out there, and even threw in a few on Music and TV. We’ve explored the Net and added our own Originals to it, and we’ve even thrown in some Humor & Satire while we were at it. We, in our eyes, were Superheroes of Pen and Paper (and Keyboard) who tirelessly pushed on even when our daytime alter-egos were busy from the monotony of life. But through the struggles, the frustrations, and the exhaustion, the one thing that kept us moving was that we loved our craft, we loved our subjects, we loved to write. And we still do.
With all that said, our war here is done. We started as grunts, taking our bumps and learning the ropes. And to a certain degree, we’re still grunts, still learning. But we feel it’s time to hang up our guns here and move onto places where we can do more, write more, contribute more than our resources make available here. Some of us will take our writing into greener pastures, writing for more established sites; some of us will take our writing into more creative endeavors, which hopefully you’ll see soon; some of us may leave writing altogether, for the time being. But no matter where we go next, we thank you for having been with us on the ride, whether you’re just seeing the site for the first time now, or have kept up with us for weeks, months, or the full year.
We encourage you to follow us on our individual blogs and twitter feeds, and support us wherever we go. It’s been a fun, crazy ride, and as corny as it sounds, Infinite Ammo will be a part of us as we go, as it helped us shape where we want to be–perhaps a year from now–as writers.
Once again, from all of Infinite Ammo, thank you.

Sorry to hear that! I wish you guys luck.
And thank you not only for your kind words but for your continued support of the site. It was great to have a regular commenter to weigh in on debates, topics and reviews, especially someone with such a deep understanding of comics. Best of luck to you too!
This is sad news. You guys were really fun to read. Best of luck!
Thank you so much for supporting us! To be honest, L. Santiago and I have both been a little bummed by it, but it’s great to see a fan of of our content. You seriously rock.
I’m sad to hear the news. I enjoyed the articles, especially the PS3 game reviews and commentary on the gaming industry. I hope you all have good gigs lined up, or find time for a nice vacation before moving onto other endeavors!
A vacation definitely sounds nice right about now! I’m definitely taking a little time from the net to rest my mind and get my goals in place with what I want to do with my ideas. Louis Santiago is getting a project off the ground as we speak and dedicating as much of his time to that as he can. Wish him luck!
