When you hear people say they’ve been doing their amazing talent since they can remember, you call Shenanigans. I can say it’s totally true. From drawing under my grandma’s coffee table to making my own comics out of composition notebooks; from meticulously designing elaborate storylines and sagas to writing poetry with words and video; art is all I’ve known and it’s all I ever want from life. It’s my escape, my pleasure, my transcendence. My greatest passion in life is creativity in all its forms and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Darth Healthcare – Gamer, Bowler, Music Lover, Math Teacher Extraordinaire

People tell me my username is silly, to which I usually reply, “All usernames are silly, and so are you.”  After they finish crying, I explain that “Darth Healthcare” really encapsulates the person I grew up into.  “Darth” represents my Star Wars/video game/internet loving side, and “Healthcare” represents the part of me grounded in real world events (politics, the economy).  All of this is to say that I put a hell of a lot more thought into my username than Sidious did when he burped out “Darth Vader” for Anakin.
I’m currently trying to find a job as a math teacher.  During my time student teaching, I randomly took to writing reviews of new music albums as a way to keep my sanity.  It worked so well that now I do it for fun on this very blog in the “A New Album Appears!” series, though I’ll be contributing elsewhere as well.  And yes, like your favorite DJ I too take requests.
